Abyss is the eleventh map to be released in VALORANT.
Features[]
Abyss is the first map in VALORANT to have no outer boundaries and a death drop in Mid, making it possible in these areas for players to fall off the map to their death. Some parts of the map can only be accessed by jumping across these drops; the Danger and Secret positions are narrow ledges on the map's outer boundaries that are used as jump shortcuts. In Mid, players can also only get up to Catwalk directly from Top or Library by making a jump over Mid's death drop to an ascender.
Abyss has three other ascenders, one to take players from A Site up to A Tower, another to take players from B Main up to Mid Bend, and another in Attacker Spawn.
Both entrances to Vent are blocked by doors that absorb damage and gunfire while intact. The doors have 120 HP with colored indicators to imply how much health they have left (starts blue, then turns yellow and then red as it takes more damage). Once destroyed, the passageway will remain clear for the rest of the round.
