Account Level

Level Borders shown in Collection under Player Cards section

A player's Account Level is a system that recognizes how long they have been playing VALORANT for. Players increase their level by earning Account Points (AP) from completing matches.

Summary[]

Account Levels were added at the start of Episode 3 to recognize and reward all players' loyalty and time invested in the game. New accounts start at level 1, though players who had an account before Episode 3 received an amount of AP based on the number of matches they had played in previous episodes[1]. Account levels are reset whenever a player transfers their account[2]. Account levels can be hidden in-match by going to Collections > Player Cards > Level Borders and clearing the "Show my account level on my player card" option.

All players have their account level displayed at the top of their player card and on a border surrounding their player card whenever it's displayed in game such as the loading screen and kill summary. In the menus, it is displayed in the party and in the friends list if they are online.

Starting in Episode 4, to be able to play Competitive, players must have reached Level 20. Accounts that have not yet reached level 20 but have already played Competitive before 4.0 will still be able to play Competitive.

Earning Account Points[]

Account Points (AP) are earned by playing and completing matchmade games. Once the game is complete, players will earn 1 AP plus 1 AP for every 6 seconds played for higher accounts. For accounts until level 10, players recieve 4 AP plus 4 AP for every 6 seconds. If they won that match, they will earn an additional 50 AP for higher account levels or 150 AP for lower accounts, and 200 AP for accounts below or equal to level 10.

A player's first win of the day will grant them 1,000 bonus AP, which will reset every 22 hours once this condition has been achieved.

Rewards[]

Each level requires 5,000 Account Points (AP). Every 20 levels, the borders receive small upgrades. Every 100 levels, the borders get a new color scheme.
