Fortitudo sine lacrymis. Vindicta sine misericordia.
(Strength without tears. Vengeance without mercy.)

— An Atlas company motto

Atlas is an organization in the world of VALORANT from Omega Earth.

History[]

Atlas has been described as an organization and business that operates outside of the public sphere, though their presence on Omega is well known. Some of their activities appear to include security, especially related to inter-dimensional travel. They encourage citizens to learn how to identify Alpha intruders, and when such an event happened in the case of Oran McEneff illegally crossing over with the help of his Omega colleague, Rúben Pontes, Atlas were the ones to investigate and issued wanted posters and security alerts for the suspects.[1][2]

Atlas have had dealings with Kingdom Industries and the VALORANT Legion, though they are not meant to have an official connection with the latter. Atlas has been known to cooperate with Legion however when a Legion agent, Ω-Viper, joined a squad of soldiers from Atlas' "Force Atlas" division that had been sent to respond to the intrusion of a VALORANT Protocol strike team at a Kingdom Industries data center in Ω-Lisbon. While they were able to push the Alpha agents back, the incident resulted in many casualties for Atlas whilst the Protocol agents were all able to escape with only minor injuries at most.[1][3]

Atlas also responded when Protocol agents once again arrived at Lisbon, though this time the agents were able to escape and split up across the European continent, prompting Atlas to pursue. One particular encounter with α-Skye resulted in several fatalities for Atlas with the force failing to take her down. Atlas eventually fell behind, and was not present when the Protocol agents finally reached their destination of the City of Flowers and fought against Legion agents who had already reached the city.[4][5][6]

After that encounter between the two VALORANT organizations in the City of Flowers, a small Atlas team led by Lt. Delacroix was sent to the site to conduct their own investigation. The team received a report about the encounter from a Legion ambassador, though Delacroix suspected some information had been omitted. After further analysis at the site, Delacroix requested that an unredacted version of Legion's original report be obtained by any available channels, but field support reported back that this was not possible and that a more direct source was required, suggesting someone who worked at a lab that Delacroix had previously been assigned to, despite the fact Delacroix had been transferred from there after an incident. Delacroix reached out to the Legion agent, apologizing to them for their actions at the lab and asking if the Legion agent could share the original report. Whilst the Legion liaison was suspicious on whether Delacroix's apology was truly genuine, they were unable to share the report with Delacroix anyway due to their boss' opposition against Legion providing any direct support to Atlas. With little hope left of obtaining the report, Delacroix could only resort to requesting for experts in various fields to come and assist with their questions and studies on-site.[7]
