A Barrier is a type of ability that prevents agents from being able to move through them, used to block passageways.
Summary[]
A barrier ability generates large structures that agents and deployed abilities cannot pass through, able to take up the complete width of most passageways on maps to prevent players from passing through. All barriers currently spawn in multiple segments, each with their own amount of health, being reduced on creation and requiring a brief duration to fortify to their maximum HP. Towards the end of their maximum duration, their health will begin to decay for a percentage of their remaining health until expiration. Barriers can either be semi-transparent, only blocking movement while allowing bullets and thrown abilities to pass through, or non-transparent, blocking anything that come into contact with it.
If a deployed ability that has locked on to a target (e.g. Skye's Seekers) is blocked by a barrier, the ability will deal continuous damage to it, eventually destroying it to break through and continue on its path so long as it has still not reached its maximum duration.

Non-transparent[]
Non-transparent barriers block anything that comes into contact with them. They also block vision of anything behind the barrier.
Sage:
EQUIP a barrier orb. FIRE places a wall that fortifies after a few seconds. ALT FIRE rotates the targeter.

Vyse:
EQUIP filaments of liquid metal. FIRE to place a hidden wall trap. When an enemy crosses, an indestructible wall bursts from the ground behind them. The wall lasts for a brief time before dissipating.

Semi-transparent[]
Semi-transparent barriers block agents and deployed abilities, but allow players to see through them at what's happening behind. Players can fire their weapons through these barriers at targets behind them, and also throw projectile-based abilities through them. Agents with intangibility can also pass through semi-transparent barriers.
EQUIP a Barrier Mesh disc. FIRE to throw forward. Upon landing, the disc generates barriers from the origin point that block character movement.
