Buddies

Buddies (or gunbuddies, gun buddies) are a type of cosmetic in VALORANT. They are weapon charms that attach to guns to slightly modify their appearance. Buddies can only be seen in first-person view.

To access the inventory of buddies, the player has to select a weapon (excluding Melee) in their Collection and navigate to Buddies on top to view.

There are currently 577 different buddies.

Current Buddies[]

Collection Bundles[]

Buddies from collection bundles can usually be bought on their own for 475 but are given for free should the player choose to buy the whole bundle. For bundles containing buddies, the bundle price is usually equal to the total cost of the gun skins. Most collection bundles that have buddies only contain one each, though occasionally some bundles have multiple. Players will have x2 each of the buddy in their inventory upon purchase.

Certain buddies must be purchased as part of the entire bundle, thus losing the opportunity to purchase the buddy individually. The buddies are from these collections:

"Monkey Business" from Arcane Collection's Collector's Set
"Duo's Day" from Duo's Day Capsule
"In and Out of Trouble" from Troublemaker Capsule
All buddies from VCT Team Capsules and Tacti-Force Capsule

Certain collections have different pricing for their buddies. The pricing and collections are:

0 for Pride
675 each for Doombringer and Dream Charm
975 each for Give Back, Give Back // 2022, Give Back // 2023 and Give Back // 2024

Act Battle Pass[]

To see the tiers that each buddy was unlocked at, see the article for that Battle Pass' act linked in the table.

The act battle pass contains between 9 to 12 buddies which are spread out over both the paid and free tracks. These buddies are always earned at the same tier or chapter (depending on how many buddies the pass has). The free track always has 3 buddies that are always unlocked after completing chapters 2, 6, 9, and unlocking the paid tracks gives access to up to 5-8 more buddies that are unlocked at other tiers. Another free track buddy may also be available at Epilogue 1, depending on whether the cosmetic at that tier for each pass is either a buddy or a spray. Players will have x2 each of the buddy in their inventory upon unlock.

Kingdom Credits can also be used to unlock when buddies appear as part of the weekly set of four offers available in Accessory Store (excluding Epilogue items and Episode Coin Collection items).

At the end of each episode, players who played Competitive games and earned a rank will receive a buddy based on the highest Act Rank they achieved during the episode. Each episode has its own ranked buddies, and there are buddies for every rank. Players must obtain 9 wins in any of an Act within that Episode to be rewarded with the buddy matching their rank. Players will have x2 of the buddy in their inventory upon unlock.
