Chokehold is a basic ability for Veto.

Description[]

EQUIP a viscous fragment of your mutation. FIRE to throw. The fragment deploys upon hitting the ground, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.
— In-game description

Chokehold is primarily an Intel ability that Veto must equip before casting. On cast, he throws a fragment as a projectile that sticks as soon as it comes into contact with horizontal terrain as a trap. Veto can use Alt Fire to throw the fragment underhand, giving it a short range trajectory instead.

After a brief windup, the trap will turn invisible and remain at its landing spot indefinitely. Enemy agents who approach deployed traps will be able to see them once they get within close enough proximity. Enemies can deal damage to the trap and destroy it.

If an enemy agent gets too close to the trap it will activate, causing any agents within range and in line of sight of the trap to be tethered, deafened, and decayed.

If Veto is killed during the round, any placed traps will deactivate and reveal their positions.
