Skye Reveal Trailer[]

Skye Trailer Rift

Skye observes a rift above her homeland

Skye icon Skye's reveal trailer, mostly containing gameplay clips, does also have a short cinematic section for the first part of the video.

During the cinematic section, Sage (speaking over a comm link) directs Skye towards a rift, saying it was just one of several appearing everywhere across the globe. Skye initially voices reluctance about getting involved with anything that would make her have to leave her home behind unprotected. However, once she arrives at the location Sage has been directing her to, Skye finally catches sight of the massive rift in the skies above. As she expresses concern about more of these existing, Sage replies that there are "too many". Realizing now that the fight is bigger than just her home, Skye finally accepts to join Sage.

KAY/O Reveal Trailer[]

KAYO Trailer Reyna Confrontation

KAY/O faces off against Reyna in his original timeline

KAYO icon KAY/O's reveal trailer, mostly containing gameplay clips, does also have a short section of cinematic clips in the middle of the video.

The cinematic section contains clips from an alternate timeline multiple centuries into the future where a war rages between Humans and Radiants, one that KAY/O fights in on the side of Humans. The clips include newspaper headlines about key events during the war, as well as a confrontation between KAY/O and Reyna.

Uncover Fracture[]

Incredible, that something so small could create such... opportunity.
Their efforts were noble, but sacrifices must be made.
Ah, such a pity.

— Chamber's narration
Uncover Fracture

Two bullets collide with each other within Everett-Linde's LRC

Uncover Fracture is a map trailer for Fracture. It mostly contains artistic shots of areas on the map, but does contain a short cinematic section at the start of the video. A narration is heard during the entire trailer from Chamber.

During the cinematic section, a bullet is seen to be ejected from its casing. An identical bullet approaches from the opposite direction. The two bullets then not only hit the same target, the Everett-Linde Research Facility's active Large Radian Collider, but also collide with each other head on within the collider, causing an explosion.

L'Accord[]

L'Accord

The Chambers prepare to free α-Brimstone

L'Accord, meaning "The Agreement" in French, is an agent cinematic for Chamber icon Chamber. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips, but is not an exact retelling of canon events. The cinematic is instead intended to be more of an evocative metaphor for major themes in Chamber's story.[1]

In the cinematic, Brimstone is shown to be imprisoned and frozen in place inside some sort of device in an unknown dimension. Chamber and his Omega counterpart then arrive here in order to free Brimstone. α-Chamber uses his teleport card to jump to Brimstone's position, shooting three statues along the way with his Headhunter that all resemble Omen. Ω-Chamber summons his Tour De Force and shoots a crystal in a ring above the prison containing Brimstone, causing it to dissipate and free him. α-Chamber then throws a card on the floor in front of Brimstone for the Protocol leader to take and introduces himself as "Chamber".

Spark[]

Spark Neon Arrival

Neon arrives at VALORANT HQ

Spark is an agent trailer for Neon icon Neon. It contains a mix of cinematic and gameplay clips.

The cinematic clips show Neon's arrival at VALORANT HQ as the Protocol's latest recruit, specifically her personal living quarters. After finding a welcome message left by Sage, she begins unpacking and setting up her room. Sage later arrives to bring Neon to join the other agents.

İYİ GECELER[]

İYİ GECELER

Fade summons a prowler and commands it to attack the VALORANT agents sent to apprehend her

İYİ GECELER, meaning "Good Night" in Turkish, is an agent cinematic for Fade icon Fade. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips, but is not canon to VALORANT lore. The canon events in Istanbul are instead recounted in the Istanbul Sting Log. The cinematic uses some audio from this recording, but the events of the recording do not match with the cinematic.

In the cinematic, a group of VALORANT agents move in to apprehend Fade inside a warehouse but become affected by her Radiant nightmare powers, confronting their darkest fears. Fade eventually reveals herself to the agents before summoning a prowler and commanding it to attack the agents.

Trivia[]

  • İYİ GECELER was originally meant to be a fully canon cinematic of the Istanbul mission. However, budget and time could not support the creation of this sort of cinematic and so the story was developed into the audio log that would become available on the Range instead.[2]
    • Major differences between the canon audio log and the cinematic include Neon entering the warehouse without Cypher, and Fade confronting and speaking to the agents herself in the warehouse.

Dia do Santuário[]

Welcome to Sanctuary Day. A celebration of a town's legacy... and its future.
In a world on the brink of total climate collapse, Kingdom Industries, alongside Omega's heroes, worked to encase an entire city in radianite-infused polycarbonate, creating a wonder beneath the waves.
We invite you to join us for a celebration of the city under the sea. Take in the city center's cozy corridors. Head over to the Multiverse Museum for a sweeping look at radianite's past, and its role in shaping the future. Pardon the transdimensional dust and please keep a safe distance while we complete this reality restoration project.

— Sanctuary Day hologram's narration
Dia do Santuário

The Sanctuary Day hologram

Dia do Santuário is a map trailer for Pearl. It mostly contains artistic shots of areas on the map, but does contain a short cinematic section at the start of the video.

During the cinematic section, a Sanctuary Day hologram in a comic book store activates as VALORANT Protocol agents pass by off-screen, attracting their attention as it begins to speak. The hologram shows images of the Pearl District and begins to explain its history. The narration persists into the artistic shots.

TURN THE TIDES[]

TURN THE TIDES is an agent cinematic for Harbor icon Harbor. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips.

Plot[]

You're late!
Yeah, and you're heavy. Welcome to VALORANT.

Turn The Tides Crash

REALM operatives pursuing Varun Batra

In Delhi, India, Varun Batra is pursued by two REALM operatives, including Captain Greaves, with all three aboard motorbikes as REALM tries to shoot Batra down. As Batra is forced to deviate from directions being given by a navigator system towards an aircraft, he disables one of the REALM bikes using a trap disk, then summons a wall of water that Greaves' bike crashes into, throwing the Captain off the vehicle. As Greaves makes one final attempt to shoot him down as he rides away, Batra drives his bike off a drop and leaps into the air.

Turn The Tides Greaves Batra

Greaves and Batra search for a relic in Mumbai

The cinematic then cuts to a flashback of a night in Mumbai from two months ago, when Batra was on a mission with Captain Greaves to secure a relic. The two men approach an ancient building, using a laser cutter to create a doorway. Entering the building, they eliminate a couple of criminals who had already found their way in, before splitting up to locate the relic.

Turn The Tides Attachment

The bracelet attaches itself to Batra

Batra comes across the room containing the relic first and informs his team over comms. As he enters the room, the area activates, revealing a pedestal in the shape of a hand bearing five rings and a bracelet. In a flash, Batra suddenly finds himself instantly submerged underwater. The relics float towards him and attach themselves to his hands. With another flash, the bracelet locks in place and the room instantly drains, leaving Batra kneeling on the floor.

Turn The Tides Betrayal

Greaves reveals his true intentions

As he picks himself up, Greaves arrives with his weapon aimed at him. The captain demands Batra to give him the artifact, revealing his rogue intentions to take it for himself rather than having it taken by REALM. Batra says nothing, only standing his ground in defiance. As Greaves opens fire, the bracelet summons a wall of water between the two men that blocks the bullets from passing through. Greaves continues to fire at the wall with no effect, and once it dissipates, the captain finds that Batra had used the cover to flee.

Turn The Tides Reckoning

Batra fights REALM operatives in Rajasthan

Frustrated, Greaves immediately takes to comms to claim to the rest of the team that Batra had gone rogue, ordering him to be found. With REALM successfully misled by Greaves' claims, the cinematic cuts to brief shots of Batra whilst he was on the run throughout southern Asia; using a shield of water to protect himself from incoming fire in the mangroves of Bangladesh, using a wave to sweep enemies away outside of Haven in Thimphu, Bhutan, and summoning a geyser pool under REALM operatives in Rajasthan, India.

Turn The Tides Brimstone

Brimstone greets Batra aboard the VLT/R

The cinematic then cuts back to the present day where it previously left off, as Batra is grabbed out of the air by Brimstone, aboard the VLT/R that Batra had been trying to reach. Boarding the aircraft, Batra remarks that they arrived late, to which Brimstone retorts that Batra is heavy. The Protocol leader throws a weapon to him before welcoming him to VALORANT, as they depart Delhi.

City of Flowers[]

City of Flowers Activation

Astra and Harbor watch as Legion agents activate the city

City of Flowers is a map trailer for Lotus. It contains two cinematic sections before and after a central section of gameplay clips. The cinematic sections picks up immediately after the final events shown in the REVELATION cinematic.

During the cinematic sections, Astra and Harbor take cover as they are pinned down by VALORANT Legion agents. As Harbor holds them back, Astra enters her Astral Form to scout the city and provide some intel and directions for some of the other Protocol agents that have arrived to assist, including Brimstone. Once she exits the Astral plane, Harbor asks Astra for help with her Omega counterpart, having caught sight of her whilst α-Astra was scouting the city. The two Protocol agents then look up to the sky at an off-screen event occurring in the city.

The Flower Blooms[]

The Flower Blooms Energy Beam

Legion agents briefly activate an energy beam

The Flower Blooms is a map cinematic for Lotus. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips. It follows on from the events shown in the City of Flowers trailer, showing concurrent events from the perspective of the VALORANT Legion agents.

In the cinematic, Ω-Fade escorts Ω-Astra to a device located in the center of the city. Astra reaches into the device with her gauntlet arm, activating it and causing a large beam of energy to shoot up into the sky. The beam then deactivates at the same time as a spike explosion that occurs elsewhere in the city.

GREATER THAN ONE[]

Greater Than One Reyna Gekko

Reyna meets up with Gekko in Los Angeles

GREATER THAN ONE is an agent cinematic for Gekko icon Gekko. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips.

In the cinematic, Gekko leaves his house after recently dyeing his hair green and travels through his home city of Los Angeles along with his crew of radivores. They arrive at a mural and meet up with Reyna there.

Trivia[]

  • A "Lobster?" spray can be seen on a wall next to Gekko's home.
  • The "DEDCYPR" license plate of one of the cars seen in the cinematic references the community meme about how the majority of VALORANT trailers and cinematics involving Cypher show him dying in some way.

THE GAMES BEGIN[]

THE GAMES BEGIN is a game mode trailer for Team Deathmatch. It contains two cinematic sections before and after a central section of gameplay clips.

Plot[]

You had your fun. Now it's my turn. I'm going to watch you fight. I'm going to watch you die.
Max Bot
The Games Begin Phoenix

Phoenix talking about his last fight against Max Bot to Gekko

At VALORANT Protocol HQ, Phoenix finishes telling the story of his final fight against Max Bot to Gekko as the two agents leave the training room and walk into the common room. Gekko asks where this "legendary" Max Bot is, and Phoenix points out what's left of him is the cleaning bot that was working in the room right at that moment, doing so by chucking an empty Spike Rush can at Max Bot. The bot instantly catches the can, which Phoenix compliments, but after the two agents leave the room, Max Bot crushes it in his hand.

The Games Begin Portal Screens

Max Bot looks down on Phoenix after he exits the simulation

Later on, Max Bot plugs himself into a terminal to gain access to the Protocol's portal systems and data files in order to initiate a revenge program. Phoenix later passes through the common room after appearing to be summoned to the portal room by Killjoy, where he finds it to be a mess, before finally reaching the portal room to find an activated portal but no one else there waiting for him. Phoenix decides to head through the portal anyway, even after noticing the portal boundary glitching with red code. He is thrown out later on, visibly worn out from a battle. Phoenix then looks ups to see Max Bot has also overtaken the portal rooms screen, and the bot asks whether they should "go again".

Trivia[]

  • Some details seen on-screen during Max Bot's hack conflict with canon information, such as Sage's name being seen as "Chiyu Liu" and Everett-Linde's location being listed as Bind. It has since been confirmed these inconsistencies from the cinematic are incorrect.[3]

UNITED TOGETHER[]

UNITED TOGETHER is a cinematic made to celebrate the official launch of VALORANT in China. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips.

Plot[]

What's the move?
We kill them all.

Phoenix and Sage

United Together Protocol Team

The Protocol team in Bhutan

At a temple in Thimphu, Bhutan, a team of VALORANT Protocol agents consisting of Jett, Phoenix, Sage, Sova, and Viper awaits the arrival of a VALORANT Legion team in order to stop them from planting a spike there, fearing another situation similar to what occurred in Venice will happen if the Legion team is successfully able to detonate it. When Legion arrives, the Protocol team heads out to confront them, but Phoenix goes off on his own to the wrong side of the site away from the action. The rest of the team meanwhile fights back against the Legion agents, but struggle to hold the area, with Viper sustaining an injury to her shoulder and Sova being killed by a grenade, though Jett is able to answer back with two kills of her own. Phoenix eventually makes his way across the temple to rejoin the team, and together they launch a counter push to eliminate the remaining Legion agents. In a last-ditch attempt, Ω-Omen makes his way to another part of the temple to plant the spike, but Sage arrives to stop him, forcing him to teleport away and leave the spike behind.

United Together Departure

The Protocol agents leave Bhutan

With Legion's mission successfully prevented, the Protocol agents head back knowing these events are just the beginning. Ω-Omen meanwhile completes his teleport away from the temple and contemplates that the Legion agents need something new to change the game in their favor.

Trivia[]

  • It is currently unknown when this cinematic occurs within the VALORANT lore timeline. Due to the "Venice situation" being mentioned, it must at the very least occur after the events of DUELISTS.
  • The Kingdom Corporation logo can be seen on the Omega agents' spike despite Kingdom Industries being the counterpart that actually exists on Omega. This is very likely just a continued inconsistency as all media has always shown a spike with the Kingdom Corporation logo since the launch of the game, and Kingdom Industries' existence was not established in the lore until later during Episode 03's release.
    • Despite this, the Kingdom Industries logo is correctly displayed on Ω-Omen's cowl.

SUNSET[]

SUNSET is a map trailer for Sunset. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips.

Plot[]

I was blind. Kingdom... they said they were making the world better. Safer. Bullshit.
Kingdom... was a distraction. Fumbling in the dark, grasping for something to stop the bleeding. But truth is, our world will never be safe until we deal with the real enemy. Them.

Brimstone's narration
Sunset Protocol Team

The Protocol team arrives at the LA facility

In Los Angeles, California, a VALORANT Protocol strike team consisting of Brimstone, Deadlock, Gekko, Reyna, and Sova infiltrates a Kingdom Corporation facility and makes their way into a large underground room containing a portal. Sova takes out two security guards with a Shock Bolt, and a third scientist in the room is forced to retreat right after they lock down the portal controls to prevent the incoming VALORANT agents from gaining access, also activating an alarm. Brimstone commands Deadlock, Gekko, and Sova to shut down the portal while he and Reyna leave them behind to hold back Kingdom security, as Gekko also summons Wingman to take a look.

Sunset GravNet Failure

Deadlock's GravNet gets pulled into the portal

Sova attempts to access the portal controls but he is locked out, with the controls requiring biometric identification. Sova goes to one of the fallen guards and cuts off their thumb, hoping their biometrics will be accepted, but the controls still deny him access. Deadlock shoulders Sova off the controls, frustrated that his actions will end up throwing them out of the system completely, when they needed to shut down the portal immediately. She then tries to enter a passcode but it isn't accepted either. Frustrated, Deadlock throws a GravNet at the portal which attaches itself to the housing ring, but the portal's forces are able to pull the grenade off and into the portal before it ejects the grenade back out with a shockwave that knocks back the nearby agents.

Sunset Wingman Enters Portal

Wingman jumps into the portal with Deadlock's nanowire accelerator

Wingman then comes up with an idea on how to shut the portal down, explaining it to Gekko. Gekko is apprehensive about the plan as Wingman then approaches Deadlock. While at first Deadlock aims her nanowire accelerator at the radivore, with the trauma of her own recent experience dealing with a deadly radivore making her extremely distrustful towards any other radivores, Gekko implores her to trust them as Wingman gently reaches out and puts his hand on hers, before asking her to give him her nanowire accelerator. Deadlock eventually relents and hands it over, as Wingman nods back in appreciation before jumping into the portal with it. The portal then emits a huge beam of energy before it collapses back in, as what remains of the portal starts to become extremely unstable. The three agents flee the room before the remains of the portal release another massive energy beam that shoots upwards and breaks through to the surface, creating a big hole just outside the visible facility grounds.

Sunset Legion Team

The Legion team arrives with their own mission

With the portal successfully shut down, all five members of the strike team make their way out of the facility as the gather in front of the hole created by the portal being shut down, where Gekko also spots Wingman at the edge and reunites with him. But just as the team comes together, multiple teleporter exits then materialize on the opposite side of the hole, as five VALORANT Legion agents, in a strike team of agents that perfectly mirrors the team Protocol had sent, arrive on a mission to obtain Alpha radianite in the area.

MYTHS[]

MYTHS is an agent cinematic for Iso icon Iso. It is a pure cinematic video with no gameplay clips, however some of the cinematic is parts of a stylized montage showing Iso fighting various targets.

Plot[]

One hired gun responsible for dismantling entire operations. It's pure fantasy.
— Kingdom scientist

Myths Los Angeles

The aftermath of the VALORANT Protocol's attack on the Los Angeles Kingdom facility

Hours after the events of the Sunset Reveal Trailer at the Los Angeles facility, a Kingdom Corporation scientist who had previously escaped from the VALORANT Protocol strike team's attack returns to the scene along with three personal guards. Another Kingdom Security guard is found to have survived, but the scientist orders their guards to execute them, before the group leaves through a teleporter to another area of the facility.

Myths Kingdom

The group discusses rumors about an assassin targeting them

The scientist expresses frustrations over Kingdom abandoning their research, to which one of the guards questions whether it was worth risking their lives for. One of the other guards calls him out for being spooked by rumors of assassins targeting the group. The first guard clarifies that it's just one assassin who is killing everyone connected to the scientist's research. The other guards and the scientist dismiss this rumor as mythmaking and pure fantasy for how improbable it would be for one assassin to be able to dismantle an entire operation, but the first guard explains that it's because the assassin is bulletproof.

Myths Iso

The assassin confronts the group

The guard then begins to tell stories about the assassin's feats and reputation, as the group exits the facility. Eventually, one of the other guards questions how he can know all of this if it's true that this assassin kills anyone that goes up against him. The scientist responds saying he can't know and that all he has are these stories. As they prepare to move out though, they find the assassin himself waiting for them, with all four members of the group being identified as targets.

Myths Omen

The assassin receives orders for his next target

Having then eliminated them, the assassin later sends a message on his phone to his employer confirming his success. They then give him his next target - Omen. Seeing this, the assassin switches his phone off and sighs.
