Gunbuddies

Gunbuddies (or buddies) are a type of cosmetic in VALORANT. They are weapon charms that attach to guns to slightly modify their appearance. Gunbuddies can only be seen in first-person view.

To access the inventory for gunbuddies, the player has to select a weapon (excluding Melee which cannot equip buddies) in their Collection tab and navigate to Buddies to view.

There are currently 482 different gunbuddies.

Current Gunbuddies[]

Collection Bundles[]

Gunbuddies from collection bundles can usually be bought on their own for 475 but are given for free should the player choose to buy the whole bundle. For bundles containing buddies, the bundle price is usually equal to the total cost of the gun skins. Most collection bundles that have gunbuddies only contain one each, though occasionally some bundles have multiple. Players will have x2 each of the gunbuddy in their inventory upon purchase.

Certain gunbuddies must be purchased as part of the entire bundle, thus losing the opportunity to purchase the gunbuddy individually. The gunbuddies are from these collections:

Certain collections have different pricing for their gunbuddies. The pricing and collections are:

0 for Pride Collection
975 for all Give Back Collections (Give Back, Give Back // 2022, Give Back // 2023)

The act battle pass contains between 9 to 12 gunbuddies which are spread out over both the paid and free tracks. These buddies are always earned at the same tier or chapter (depending on how many buddies the pass has). The free track always has 3 buddies that are always unlocked after completing chapters 2, 6, 9, and unlocking the paid tracks gives access to up to 5-8 more buddies that are unlocked at other tiers. Another free track buddy may also be available at Epilogue 1, depending on whether the cosmetic at that tier for each pass is either a buddy or a spray. Players will have x2 each of the gunbuddy in their inventory upon unlock.

Kingdom Credits can also be used to unlock when gunbuddies appear as part of the weekly set of four offers available in Accessory Store.

The following gunbuddies were obtained by watching certain live events on official broadcasts or other official selected streams. To be eligible to obtain the rewards, players must have their Riot account connected to their account used on the streaming service and use it to watch the event for a certain duration, at most for one hour. Players will have x1 each of the gunbuddy in their inventory upon claim.

Competitive[]

At the end of each episode, players who played Competitive games and earned a rank will receive a gunbuddy based on the highest Act Rank they achieved during the episode. Each episode has its own ranked buddies, and there are buddies for every rank. Players must obtain 9 wins in any of an Act within that Episode to be rewarded with the gunbuddy matching their rank. Players will have x2 of the gunbuddy in their inventory upon unlock.
