Lockdown is a Crowd Control ability that Killjoy must equip before casting. On cast, she places a Lockdown device into the ground in front of her. Killjoy can rotate her body during deployment to position and plant the device in very specific locations either at her feet or within a small distance in front of her.
Once deployed, the device creates a spherical area of effect and begins to wind up. The sphere's center is positioned at the location where the device was planted. This means the AoE appears both above and below ground. While this effect won't be seen when deployed on completely solid, horizontal ground, this becomes applicable when the device is planted near an area where the map's elevation changes and gets lower, be it a gradual slope or a steep vertical drop. Enemies within the sphere will hear warning sounds. Once the windup is complete, the device will emit a pulse that detains any enemy agent within the AoE.
Enemies can deal damage to the device and destroy it, though Killjoy and her team will be alerted if the device is destroyed.
