Patch Notes are a list of changes made in updates to VALORANT. These can include adjustments to agents, weapons, maps, or system changes, as well as having fixes for bugs.
Patch Schedule[]
Typically, a new patch arrives for VALORANT every two weeks, with each episode containing around 11-12 patches. Using a local date and time from the Pacific Time Zone, (due to Riot Games being based in Los Angeles, California), patch days usually occur on a Tuesday, starting in the morning around 06:00-07:00 where the notes are released globally. Some regional accounts, such as VALORANT Brasil or Korea, will also post these notes in a video format during the same time, which also contains visual comparisons for some major changes. The patch itself will then release over the next 12-15 hours in three stages:

Occasionally, a patch may become available to download but the server itself will still be down for maintenance for a few more hours.
As Riot is a US-based company, patch schedules can be affected by any federal holidays that occur in the country. In most cases, these holidays will push an upcoming patch release to later by one day for a Wednesday release. Some larger holiday periods can cause patches during this time to be longer than two weeks, with a three-week patch occurring over Thanksgiving, and a five-week patch occurring over Christmas and the New Year. Three to four-week patches can also occur when the game undergoes an engine update and also during Riot's week-long summer break around July-August each year. In some cases for these longer patches that occur in the middle of an episode, a patch number may be "skipped" to reflect this.
