Shear is a basic ability for Vyse.
Description[]
Shear is primarily an Intel ability that Vyse must equip before casting. Once equipped, her crosshair will be replaced with an indicator for placing the trap. This will turn purple if it is placed on a viable position to be cast in, and a red marker for unviable positions. A viable position must be placed on a wall perpendicular to the ground. Upon casting, the trap will travel to the location and briefly deploy. During Buy Phase, the trap can be picked up to regain the charge, but once the round has started it cannot be recalled.
Once deployed, the trap remains indefinitely. Enemy agents (including Yoru's Fakeout) who step past the trap will activate it, causing a wall to rise up from the ground after a delay. Upon this formation, any agents still present within the activation area will be pushed outwards and any objects placed within the area will be destroyed. The wall blocks vision and will preventing anything from passing through. Near the end of its duration, coloring on the wall will begin to fade away. Once it expires, the whole wall will fall to the ground.
Enemy agents who approach the invisible trap will be able to see it once they get within close enough proximity. The trap will deactivate if Vyse is killed or suppressed, revealing it. While unable to be destroyed under normal circumstances, the wall can however be destroyed if it is within range of a planted spike or if it is affected by sudden terrain changes (such as rotating doors in Lotus). Vyse and her team will be alerted if the wall is destroyed.
