A Sustain tool is a type of ability that allows agents to withstand and counteract damage being dealt to them while remaining active on the battlefield.
Summary[]
A sustain ability is used to let an agent endure increased amounts of damage that could put them at risk of death or cause it by either replenishing their missing health, granting them invulnerability, or reviving them from a state where they have taken lethal damage.
Heal[]
A heal applies the Healing or Overhealing buff on affected agents, increasing their health capacity. It cannot restore any shields, though abilities with the Overheal buff will allow affected agents to reach 150 effective health even if the player's health was already at or under 100.
Ally heals[]
Ally heals can be used on any of the casting agent's allies. The ability may or may not include the possibility for the caster to heal themselves.
Sage:
EQUIP a healing orb. FIRE with your crosshairs over a damaged ally to activate a Heal-Over-Time on them. ALT FIRE while Sage is damaged to activate a self Heal-Over-Time.

Skye:
EQUIP a healing trinket. HOLD FIRE to channel, Healing allies in range and line of sight. Can be reused until her healing pool is depleted. Skye cannot heal herself.

Self-heals[]
Self-heals only affect the agent who cast them.
ACTIVATE to absorb the life force of a fallen enemy that Clove damaged or killed, gaining haste and temporary health.

PASSIVELY Heal Phoenix instead of taking damage when standing in Phoenix's own fire.

Invulnerability[]
Invulnerability makes the affected agent immune to all sources of damage.
Iso:
INSTANTLY start channeling your focus. Once focused: gain a shield which absorbs one instance of damage from any source, and enter a flow state during which downed enemies you kill or damage spawn an energy orb. Shooting this orb refreshes your flow state and your existing shield, or grants another.

Revive[]
A revive is a sustain tool that allows the player to resist or come back from taking lethal damage that would otherwise result in their death.
After dying, ACTIVATE to resurrect. Once resurrected, Clove must earn a kill or a damaging assist within a set time or they will die. REACTIVATE to cancel early.
