The purpose of this page is to list what needs to be updated on the wiki when new content is added to the game.
New Patch
- Article for new patch as a subpage of Patch Notes
- When estimating patch dates, be aware of the following federal holidays in the US that can push patch dates back by a day or a week if they are expected to occur in the week of that holiday:
- MLK Day: January 15–21
- Presidents' Day: February 15–21
- Memorial Day: May 25–31
- Juneteenth: June 19
- Independence Day: July 4
- Labor Day: September 1–7
- Columbus Day: October 8–14
- Veteran's Day: November 11
- Thanksgiving Week: w/c November 19-25
- Christmas & New Year: The first patch of the new year usually happens five weeks after the previous one
- When estimating patch dates, be aware of the following federal holidays in the US that can push patch dates back by a day or a week if they are expected to occur in the week of that holiday:
- Create redirect on main page of patch number to the subpage (e.g. redirect "1.0" to "Patch Notes/1.0")
- Template:Navbox valorant
- Patch Notes
- The article for the current act
- Update History for any Agent, Map, Weapon, and ability changes
- Credits if any price changes
- Abilities#Types subpages if any core number changes
- Template:Ability info if any core ability changes
- Any undocumented changes should also be added to Undocumented Changes
- Template:File count
- Template:Latest Range Lore
- Timeline of Events for any agents who are part of or mentioned in these latest additions
- Admins: Add any audio files to the wiki's Google Drive folder
- Agent cosmetics (e.g. Jett#Other cosmetics) of any agent that is featured in any new cosmetic item added in the patch
New Collection
- Article for new collection (if the collection is part of a recurring theme, also the article for the previous collection)
- Admins: Add any audio files to the wiki's Google Drive folder
- Template:Navbox Cosmetics
- Cosmetics#Collections
- Cosmetics articles (Template:Skins, Buddies, Player Cards, Sprays), and Articles for each weapon that received a skin in order to update their skins table e.g. Classic#Skins
- Skin image sizes should be 125px for all weapon skins except Classic, Frenzy, Sheriff, and Melee skins, which should be 75px.
- Store#List of bundles (when the bundle becomes available)
- Night.Market (if the collection is a bundle between Select-Premium edition)
- Template:File count
New Act
- Article for new act
- Article for previous act
- Article for that act's episode (if this isn't the start of a new episode)
- Template:Navbox valorant
- Acts
- Battle Pass: Buddies, Player Cards, Player Titles, Sprays, Template:Skins, and the articles for each weapon that received a skin in order to update their skins table e.g. Classic#Skins
